PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Now that the October 15 deadline has come and gone we can all relax for a day or two. I hope that everyone had a successful tax season and are looking forward to the next one. In the next month or two of down time look to see what you can do to help your practices grow in the coming year. One recommendation may be networking with your fellow members to see what they are working on as well as what you may be able to offer each other. A great place to do this is at MSEA's monthly luncheon the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Maggiano's restaurant this months speaker is going to be Raymond Sheffield, Attorney "Estate Tax Update". If you have not had a chance to sit in on one of his "boot camps" then this is a little taste if you have then an update is always needed. If you are not available then please check the MSEA website for the days and times of one of our "SIG" meetings.
I know that everyone reads the CSEA magazine cover to cover but incase you missed it our very own Margy Dunn was published in the latest issue a great article on a promotion that she does each year. Be sure to take the time to read it and let her know, I am sure that she would appreciate it.
Remember that December will be our annual auction instead of a speaker so come with your wallets and if you have anything to donate please feel free to contact me and I will be sure to get it to the appropriate chair person.

MSEA members tour IRS Fresno Service Center.
On July 31, 2009 Richard Smith, James Houston, Myra Thompson, and Randy Warshawsky had the opportunity to tour the IRS service center.
We spent July 30th meeting with managers and key members from the service center at an off site location and then on Friday we went to the service center.
We were searched by metal detectors and someone escorted us during our whole stay in the building.
Attached you will find a nice power point presentation that Myra prepared about the day. If you have any questions feel free to ask any of us about our experience.
This was the first time that any non government employees were in the building since 911!
