Randy became an Enrolled Agent in 2000 and received the EA of the year award for 2004-2005.
He has been active in Mission Society and is now honored to be the Immediate Past President
of MSEA.
Upon getting involved with Mission Society Randy serves or has served on the following
committees: Communication, Membership, Town Hall, Education, Historical, and Nominations.
After being asked by David Hatt, EA to attend his retreat Randy has been involved ever since.
He was elected to a two year term as Director for MSEA. Randy took the fast track to President;
he had to resign his Director position after being elected as Treasurer. He only served in this
position for one year moving up to Second Vice President and then with a by-law change as the
first President-Elect for MSEA. "I'm not sure if they liked me or not, with the fast track to
President it may have been the Societies exit strategy for me".
Randy became President of Mission Society in June of 2007 and with the resignation of his
President-Elect was asked by the nomination committee to serve a second term. The second term
enabled the Society to implement some long term changes that were in the works.
During Randy's Presidency the society won "Chapter of the Year" from the California Society of
Enrolled Agents (CSEA). Although this was during Randy's term of office he credits a dedicated
Board of Directors and many dedicated volunteers.
Randy owns and operates his own business - The Tax Man with a dedicated staff. Besides tax
preparation he enjoys helping taxpayers who are in trouble. He is know at the IRS having done
many audits, collection issues including Offer in Compromise, Bookkeeping, Payroll problems, and
Tax/Business Planning for both individuals and Businesses.
Randy is the proud husband of Cathy and Papa Randy to his Grandson Eddie Spaghetti.
